Brandon Miller, Noah Clowney receive invites to attend 2023 NBA Draft
Alabama freshman forwards Brandon Miller and Noah Clowney are among 20 prospects that have received green room invitations to attend the 2023 NBA Draft along with their families.
The 2023 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 22, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
College basketball’s Freshman of the Year, according to the SEC, USBWA and NABC, Miller averaged 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in his lone season at Alabama. Miller scored 696 points in 37 games – all starts – which were the second-most in a single year in program history, trailing only Reggie King’s 747 in 1978-79. He is the only Division I player in the last 30 years to record 695 points, 305 rebounds and 105 threes in one season.
Clowney played in and started 36 of Alabama’s 37 games this past season and averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a freshman. He finished second on the team in total rebounds with 285 and was the Crimson Tide’s third-leading scorer. Clowney also recorded 34 blocks and 21 steals while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 28.3 percent from three.

Miller and Clowney are two of the three Alabama basketball players that entered and remained in the NBA draft field. The third is Charles Bediako, a sophomore center. Miller is considered the No. 3 overall 2023 prospect, according to CBS Sports. Clowney is No. 41; Bediako is No. 73.
