Bryce Young, Will Anderson named SEC Players of the Year by AP

The Heisman Trophy voters didn’t feel like Bryce Young and Will Anderson should both be in New York, but the voters for the Associated Press understand the importance of both players to Alabama’s success.
In fact, the Crimson Tide’s top offensive and defensive standouts were each named SEC Players of the Year by the AP, which was released on Wednesday morning.

Here are all the individual awards handed out:
- Offensive Player of the Year – QB Bryce Young, Alabama
- Defensive Player of the Year – OLB Will Anderson, Alabama
- SEC Coach of the Year – HC Kirby Smart, Georgia
- SEC Newcomer of the Year – TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
In addition to those individual awards, the AP also released its All-SEC Team. There weren’t quite as many Alabama standouts included as we saw from the Coaches Team, but there were seven total players who made it.
The AP All-SEC Team is selected by a panel of 14 sports writers and sportscasters who regularly cover the conference. You can find all of that information below.
