Clifford Omoruyi's status revealed for Alabama's game at Missouri

Alabama issued its final availability report before its road game against No. 15 Missouri.
Senior guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Achilles) and Houston Mallette (knees) were both listed as out and will not play against the Tigers. So was freshman forward Derrion Reid (hamstring), who suffered an additional setback with his injury in Alabama’s loss to Auburn.
But senior center Clifford Omoruyi was also included on Tuesday’s initial availability report with an undisclosed issue, listed as questionable for the road trip to Columbia, Missouri. On the final availability report on Wednesday evening, Omoruyi’s name was removed.
That means the 6-foot-11, 250-pound center will play against the Tigers.
Omoruyi has played in and started all 25 games of Alabama’s season. He is averaging 7.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 73.2 percent from the floor.
The No. 4-ranked Crimson Tide (21-4, 10-2 SEC) and Tigers (19-6, 8-4) are set to square off tonight at Mizzou Arena. The conference matchup will begin at 8 p.m. CT (SEC Network).

SEC Availability Report Policies
Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics season, all Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
Prior to an SEC basketball game, an institution must issue the Initial Report the night before a game by 7 p.m. CT (or, for an institution that played a game the day before, by 11:00 am local time the day of the game, or two hours before the game starts, whichever is earlier).
On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time. On the Game Day Update, the only permissible designation statuses are:
• Available – Will dress for the game and be available to play
• Game Time Decision – Coaches and/or medical personnel need to evaluate the athlete in pre-game warmups before deciding whether he can participate in the game
• Out – Not dressing or available for the game
