College GameDay returning to Tuscaloosa for Alabama-Auburn game
ESPN’s College GameDay is coming back to Tuscaloosa, returning to Coleman Coliseum for No. 3 Alabama’s home game against No. 1 Auburn next Saturday.
Alabama and Auburn have been on a collision course all season, and this will be the first of two scheduled meetings between the top two teams in the SEC. Auburn has held the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll for much of the season, and currently has a 21-1 overall record, undefeated in the SEC. Alabama is 19-3 on the season, and one game back of Auburn in the SEC standings at 8-1.
It will be only the fifth time Alabama and Auburn have met as ranked teams, including the third time in the last four seasons. Pending results in Saturday’s games, it could be the first time both teams have met while ranked in the top-10.

Under head coaches Nate Oats and Bruce Pearl, the two programs have risen to national prominence at the same time at levels previously never seen. Since the 2017-18 season, the programs have combined for four SEC regular season titles, four SEC Tournament titles and two Final Fours.
It’s the second time College GameDay has been to an Alabama basketball game, and the second year in a row. Last year, the program aired ahead of the Crimson Tide’s home game against No. 4 Tennessee on March 2, a game it ultimately lost 81-74.
The show will air on ESPN starting at 9 a.m. CT, while the game will tip off at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
