Alabama Women’s Golf
The Tide surged into 4th place with a fantastic showing in Round 2 in the tournament in Minnesota. Alabama shot the best round of the day by 2 strokes. Polly Mack shot a 67 which featured 8 birdies. Wowza. Today’s final round tees off at 8 am and will be televised on ABC. Well, ok, no it won’t but wouldn’t you watch that over Good Morning, America? I thought so.
Bama in the NFL
Following former Tiders in the NFL can be dizzying. It’s almost as if most of the good players in the NFL once played at Alabama. Heck, 8 Alabama dudes scored TDs this past week and 2 dudes that play defense intercepted balls. Sensing the trend and wanting to be on the good side of history, the 49ers signed Dre Kirkpatrick and Tompa Bay signed Carson Tinker. That was smart. So, Alabama alums continue to be added. You or I could be next.
Brandon Miller
Less than two weeks until the 5-star announces his future intentions and this hoops phenom is trending to … Alabama. His father was a TE for Gene Stallings in the 90s (Darrell Miller). Needless to say, this would be big. He’s a 6’8 kid with guard skills, the type of player that perfectly fits Nate Oats’ style of play. The Tide is also in good shape for Nick Smith, a National Top 35 prospect.

Jordan Battle Goes Viral
Most Bama player interviews aren’t newsworthy yet yesterday’s Zoom interview of Jordan Battle has gone viral. Battle was asked if he has a favorite Coach Saban “saying” and he relayed that he’s a fan of Saban’s “deez nuts” jokes and then basically told a couple which triggered alarms at the FCC and may have killed Alabama SID Media czar, Josh Maxson, who monitors said interviews for the athletic department. Josh’s job is to ensure these events are Rated G and suitable for Disney and yet Jordan went all Richard Pryor instead and per the resulting sounds emanating from Maxson off-screen, he is listed as Questionable for the Florida game.
Tide Cross Country
The Women are ranked #1 in the South and #7 nationally, the Men are #3 in the South so it sounds like Alabama is pretty good at something else and the country will continue to hate us. I know less about cross country than I know about fine art so I’ll report rankings and not much else but I’m assuming this is about measuring pace as one stomps through the woods, so I have no idea why Jameson Williams doesn’t do this.
