Alabama men’s basketball’s game against Illinois at Chicago’s United Center this upcoming season will be played on Wednesday, November 19, according to Made For March.
This is the return game of a 2-game series between the Crimson Tide and Fighting Illini. Last year, Alabama defeated Illinois, 100-87, in a top-25 matchup in Birmingham. Mark Sears was held scoreless, but others stepped up in the win. Grant Nelson led the way with 23 points while Aden Holloway (18), Latrell Wrightsell (16) and Labaron Philon (16) also had big games.
Illinois finished the 2024-25 season with a 22-13 (12-10 Big Ten) record and lost to Kentucky in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament. The Illini actually faced five SEC teams last season, including Alabama, and posted a 2-3 record with wins over Arkansas and Missouri.
