Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark High offensive lineman Dayne Shor committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday afternoon over Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oregon and more than 30 other D-I offers.

The nationally ranked four-star prospect took official visits to Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas A&M but found a home in Tuscaloosa.

“Alabama is a place where legends are made,” Shor told On3. “It was a no-brainer.”

Shor’s commitment is No. 14 for the Tide’s 2022 recruiting class, which is currently No. 3 in the nation and quickly rising.

Shor, 6-foot-6, 295 pounds, will be back at Denmark High School after moving for his junior year to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Coincidentally, he’s joining former IMG teammate Tyler Booker in the Tide’s class. Booker committed two weeks ago and is Nick Saban’s only other offensive line commit so far.

On3 Analysis of four-star OL Dayne Shor

Shor is an aggressive, physical presence in the run game. He uses good flexibility and leverage to get under the pads of opposing defensive linemen and has some nastiness as a block finisher.

Even though Shor likely projects on the interior, he shows some reactive quickness in his pass sets. He may remind Alabama fans a bit of Landon Dickerson, at least stylistically.

We haven’t seen a ton from Shor recently as he missed his junior season but his sophomore hudl tape has almost 10,000 views.

He’s received strong reviews from college camps, so we’ll see if that progress shows up on the field this fall.
