Edric Hill, four-star defensive lineman from North High School in Kansas City, will reveal his college decision this evening. Hill recently announced finalists of Alabama, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC. Alabama is currently leading the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine.

“I am ready,” Hill told On3. “I really had that itch to go ahead and commit, so I moved it up a month. There is a school that feels like home for me. I have found the place I want to be, and there is no reason for me to wait until next month.”

Alabama has remained hot on the recruiting trail this month with four recent commitments of Hunter Osborne, four-star defensive end from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Alabama, Ty Lockwood, four-star tight end from Thompson’s Station High School in Tennessee, Miles McVay, four-star offensive lineman from East St. Louis High School in Illinois and Raymond Pulido, three-star offensive lineman from Apple Valley High School in California.

Hill took official visits to Alabama, LSU and USC in June. He also returned to Tuscaloosa for the Champions Cook-Out in late July. Alabama extended an offer last November and heavily recruited him throughout the year.

Alabama heavily trending for DL target Edric Hill

Hill might not keep people guessing on Monday as the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine currently sits with Alabama at 96.7-percent. This includes predictions by Andrew Bone, national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman and USC reporter Scott Schrader.

Hill has listed Alabama at the top of his list the last few months. He has been heavily recruited by Alabama since receiving his offer in November. The relationship started to grow even stronger after his trip to Tuscaloosa for Junior Day earlier this year. Alabama defensive line coach Freddie Roach has led the Tide’s efforts from the start, as his lead recruiter and position coach.

“I like Alabama a lot,” Hill told BamaInsider. “They are national championship contenders every year. Coach Saban and his staff continues developing players. A lot of it has to do with development. They get players to the league and help you off the field with academics.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound lineman is recruited as a defensive end for the Tide. Hill is the No. 103 overall prospect according to On3 Class of 2023 rankings. He also ranks as the No. 16 defensive lineman and the third-ranked senior in Missouri.

BamaInsider will have complete coverage of Hill’s announcement this evening. The Crimson Tide hopes it can land its second defensive lineman and No. 21 overall commitment in the 2023 class.

On3 Sports National Analysis of Hill’s skill set

“Edric Hill is one of the more physically gifted defensive linemen in the 2023 cycle. The 6-foot-3, 295-pounder has 34.5-inch arms and ran an electronically-timed 4.99 second 40-yard dash at the Under Armour Next camp series during the spring. The explosive athleticism and high-end length show up on the field. Hill is a disruptive interior pass rusher for Kansas City (Mo.) North Kansas City where he lines up alongside five-star Oklahoma EDGE commit Adepoju Adebawore. It’s often a race to the quarterback. There’s still considerable upside for Hill as he continues to develop from a technical standpoint. On3 Sports Director of Scouting Charles Power
