Alabama issued its final availability report before its home game against No. 1 Auburn.

Senior guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Achilles) and Houston Mallette (knees) were both listed as out and will not play against the Longhorns. Alabama true freshman forward Derrion Reid, listed as questionable on yesterday’s initial report, is now a game-time decision.

However, Field of 68 co-founder Jeff Goodman reported Reid is expected to play.

Reid missed the Crimson Tide’s road wins over Arkansas and Texas, and seven games this season. He most recently missed four straight contests in January due to nursing a lower-body injury. Last week, Alabama head coach Nate Oats said the setback has resurfaced and the former McDonald’s All-American will be evaluated on a game-to-game basis.

But on Friday, Oats provided a more positive update on Reid.

“Derrion Reid has finally been able to do some live stuff in practice,” Oats said. “He was able to do some live stuff today. We’ll see how he looks tomorrow morning. I’m sure he’ll be a game-time decision, but he looks a lot better than he has at any point in the last month or so. So that’d be good if we get him back.”

The No. 2-ranked Crimson Tide (21-3, 10-1 SEC) and Tigers (22-2, 10-1) are set to square off today at Coleman Coliseum. The rivalry matchup will begin at 3 p.m. CT and air on ESPN.

SEC Availability Report Policies

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics season, all Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.

Prior to an SEC basketball game, an institution must issue the Initial Report the night before a game by 7 p.m. CT (or, for an institution that played a game the day before, by 11:00 am local time the day of the game, or two hours before the game starts, whichever is earlier).

On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time. On the Game Day Update, the only permissible designation statuses are:

• Available – Will dress for the game and be available to play

• Game Time Decision – Coaches and/or medical personnel need to evaluate the athlete in pre-game warmups before deciding whether he can participate in the game

• Out – Not dressing or available for the game
