Fifteen football players among 34 Alabama athletes graduating this winter

A total of 34 Crimson Tide student-athletes are slated to receive diplomas this weekend during The University of Alabama’s winter commencement, which will take place Saturday in Coleman Coliseum. The list includes members of two national championship football teams, four All-Americans and student-athletes who have won Southeastern Conference titles in soccer, softball and cross country.

The Crimson Tide is graduating 15 members of its football team, including seven members from the 2020 National Champion team – Justin Eboigbe, Jah-Marien Latham, Seth McLaughlin, Will Reichard, Tim Smith and Kristian Story – in addition to Thomas Fletcher who was a part of both the 2017 and 2020 national title. All-American Kool-Aid McKinstry and All-SEC honoree Kneeland Hibbett will earn their degrees alongside James Brockermeyer, Kyle Flood Jr., Thaiu Jones-Bell, Trezmen Marshall, Jalen Milroe and Bennett Whisenhunt.

Six members of the 2022 College Cup and Southeastern Conference champion soccer squad – Hannah Alexander, Kate Henderson, Felicia Knox, Sasha Pickard, Dylan Pixton and Gessica Skorka – earn their degrees. Knox, who was named a 2022 All-American and CSC Academic All-American Team Member of the Year, was a two-time All-SEC honoree. Bella Scaturro Bright returned for the 2023 season to help lead UA to its third consecutive NCAA appearance while earning her master’s degree.

Track and field’s All-American and All-SEC runner Eliud Kipsang paced a group of five track and field student-athletes as Bianca Carroccio, Amara Obi, Riley White and Matt Weaver earned their diplomas as the program won a pair of SEC cross country titles in 2022.

Men’s golf PING All-American and All-SEC honoree Canon Claycomb, in addition to women’s basketball players Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye, swimming’s Jake Marcum, volleyball’s Sami Jacobs and Victoria Schmer and 2021 SEC softball tournament champion Jaala Torrence are slated to graduate on Saturday.
