Another Friday, another slate of high school games featuring future members of Alabama’s football program.

This will be an exciting week of high school football, especially with a few commitments beginning postseason play. Several commits already took the field on Thursday, with JuCo linebacker Justin Jefferson turning in yet another impressive performance.

BamaInsider previews games that Alabama’s pledges will be playing in tonight and tomorrow, as well as a recap of what transpired on Thursday.

Where Alabama commitments will be playing this week

2023 Commitments (** Note: WR Cole Adams and TE Ty Lockwood are both out for the season due to injuries)

Bray Hubbard — The 8-0 Ocean Springs Greyhound will host Gulfport (7:00 p.m. Central).

Caleb Downs — Mill Creek has a home game against Dacula (6:30 p.m. Central).

Conor Talty — St. Rita (7-2) begins postseason play today with a neutral site game against Geneva (6-3) tonight (7:00 p.m. Central).

QB Dylan Lonergan — Brookwood travels to Parkview, which features five-star 2024 ATH Mike Matthews (6:30 p.m. Central).

DL Edric Hill — North Kansas City (5-4) kicks off their playoffs with a home game against Central (5-4) tonight (7:00 p.m. Central).

QB Eli Holstein — Zachary travels to Liberty Magnet, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Central. Area recruiter Pete Golding will be stopping by Zachary today, and will see Hubbard’s game tonight.

DL Hunter Osborne — BYE

DB Jahlil Hurley — BYE

DL Jordan Renaud — Tyler Legacy has a road matchup with North Forney (7:00 p.m. Central).

RB Justice Haynes — Buford travels to Mountain View for their second-to-last regular season game of the season (6:30 p.m. Central).

WR Malik Benson — Hutchinson Community College hosts Independent C.C. for a conference home game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Central.

OL Miles McVay — East Saint Louis plays host to Richards on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Central for their first playoff game.

OL Olaus Alinen — The Loomis Chaffee School will be on the road at Choate Rosemary Hall School 2:00 p.m. Central, with Bama offensive line coach Eric Wolford expected to be in attendance. Click HERE for other coaching stops this week!

RB Richard Young — Lehigh will be on the road at Riverdale (6:00 p.m. Central).

OL Ryqueze McElderry — BYE

Tony Mitchell — BYE

EDGE Yhonzae Pierre — BYE

OL Wilkin Formby — Northridge plays host to Bryant for their final regular season home game (7:00 p.m. Central).

2024 Commitments

DB Jaylen Mbakwe — BYE

TE Martavious Collins — Rome has a home matchup with Creekview (6:30 p.m. Central).

2025 Commitments:

WR Ryan Williams — Saraland is looking to bounce back from their first loss as they’re hosting McGill-Toolen tonight (7:00 p.m. Central).

How Bama pledges and their teams performed on Thursday

Most of Alabama’s commitments are playing on Friday or are off this week, but a handful of members of the 2023 class took the field last night. Here is a quick look at how they and their teammates performed on Thursday.

Jalen Hale: Hale caught two passes for 28 yards in Longview’s (9-0) 42-3 victory over Tyler on Thursday. The top-60 overall prospect also had a seven-yard touchdown run last night.

Justin Jefferson: Jefferson recorded 12 total tackles, one sack (for eight yards), 2.5 tackles, and a quarterback hurry in Pearl River Community College’s 23-7 win over East Central C.C. He finished the regular season with 86 total tackles in nine games.

Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding was in attendance for Jefferson’s game last night.

Perry Thompson: According to AL.com, Thompson recorded seven catches for 69 yards in Foley’s 28-12 win over Jackson-Olin. Foley finishes the regular season with a 7-3 record.

Raymond Pulido: Apple Valley defeated Burroughs 56-2 on Thursday night. They finish their regular season with an 8-2 record.
