Alabama has advanced to the Sweet 16 for the third year in a row and the fourth time in five seasons, setting up a matchup against BYU for a spot in the Elite Eight.

The Cougars are the 6-seed in the East Region, having gone through 11-seed VCU and 3-seed Wisconsin in the first two rounds to advance to this regional semifinal in Newark, New Jersey.

BYU has one of the most high-powered offenses in the nation, ranking No. 9 in offensive efficiency per KenPom, and boasting the No. 1-ranked offense in the country since Feb. 12, per BartTorvik. Part of that electric offense is the team’s 37.3 percent mark from beyond the arc, which ranks in the top-30 nationally.

The Cougar are led by first-year head coach Kevin Young, and deploy an electric scorer in Richie Saunders who can light it up from anywhere on the floor. The offense runs through 6-foot-9 point guard Egor Demin, one of the highest-ranked recruits in BYU history and a projected first round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

The game is expected to be exciting and high-scoring, with an over/under point total of 175.5.

Tipoff will be at 6:09 p.m. CT and the game will air on CBS.
