Alabama is normalizing things that were once far-off dreams for the program.

The Crimson Tide, coming off a domination of 6-seed BYU in the Sweet 16, is now matched up with Duke in the Elite Eight. It’s the program’s second trip to the regional finals in a row after just one in all of school history (2004) prior to Nate Oats‘ arrival.

Alabama is on the verge of back-to-back Final Four appearances, but to do so it’ll have to knock off the 1-seed in its region in the vaunted Blue Devils.

Duke has been one of the best teams in the country all season, boasting the best record in the sport at 34-3 and a No. 1 ranking in KenPom. The Blue Devils rank No. 1 in offensive efficiency and No. 5 in defensive efficiency, truly encapsulating the all-around dominance of the team.

Leading Duke is projected No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick Cooper Flagg, who just put on an electric performance in the Sweet 16 against Arizona with 30 points, seven assists and six rebounds. He’s been a mismatch nightmare for opponents all season, standing at 6-foot-9 with guard skills and elite shotmaking ability.

Alabama is searching for just its second win all-time against Duke, and first in the modern era. The two teams have met just nine times, only once since 2000.

The game will tip off at 7:49 p.m. CT on TBS/truTV.
