The Alabama men’s basketball team (14-9) will take the floor against the Ole Miss Rebels (12-11) for a key SEC matchup on Wednesday night. To some degree, the game has to be important to Ole Miss, but it’s a crucial contest for the Crimson Tide. After starting the season 8-1, they’re 6-8 over their last 14 games.

Granted, it’s been the toughest schedule in the country. But with another tough three-game stretch of Arkansas, Mississippi State and Kentucky, Nate Oats and company need to start consistently winning the games they’re supposed to. That begins with Ole Miss on Wednesday night.

So far, Alabama is averaging 80.2 points per game while allowing 75.6 points. That being said, the Tide have only exceeded 80-plus points in a contest twice over their last 14 games. Meanwhile, Ole Miss is scoring an average of 67.3 points per game while giving up 65.7 points. That could make for an interesting matchup on Wednesday.
