After a week-long layover following the SEC Tournament, the Alabama men’s basketball team will be back on the hardwood on Friday afternoon. This time, the opponent will be Notre Dame in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. The Fighting Irish defeated Rutgers 89-87 in a First Four matchup on Wednesday night.

That game went into double overtime and included a lot of emotion from both teams. Will that factor into the outcome on Friday? It shouldn’t be assumed, but we also shouldn’t rule it out. Notre Dame is now 23-10 (15-5 ACC) and 19-5 over the last 24 games.

Alabama (19-13, 9-9 SEC) comes into this game as one of four 6-seed squads. Notre Dame slots in as an 11-seed.

In order to get you ready for tipoff, we’ve collected all the pertinent information you’ll need for the game. That includes TV info, how to listen, statistical leaders for both teams, betting odds and a brief history of the series. Enjoy.
