In its first season under head coach Kalen DeBoer, Alabama football has started 4-0 and risen all the way to No. 1 in the nation.

Following a massive win over then-No. 2 Georgia last week, the Crimson Tide will hit the road tomorrow for its first road game in SEC play to take in Vanderbilt in Nashville. The Commodores have started the season 2-2 and are coming off a bye, having two weeks to prepare for the visit from Alabama.

Vanderbilt’s season has been a roller coaster so far in 2024, holding a win over Virginia Tech on the resume, but also losing to Georgia State a few weeks ago. The Commodores’ most recent game was a double-overtime loss to No. 9 Missouri, an impressive performance that fell just short.

Historically, Alabama has had no trouble with Vanderbilt. You have to go back 40 years to find the last time Vanderbilt beat the Crimson Tide, and over 50 years to find the last time Alabama lost to Vanderbilt in Nashville. In their last three meetings, Alabama has outscored the Commodores 148-3.
