How to watch, listen to No. 11 Alabama vs. Michigan
Alabama has one final game left in the first year of the Kalen DeBoer era, closing the season out in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan. The game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on New Year’s Eve.
While it’s not the College Football Playoff, the game serves as a potential for redemption of sorts for both Alabama players and much of the coaching staff. The Crimson Tide’s 2023 season ended at the hands of Michigan in the Rose Bowl semifinal last season, while DeBoer and a number of Alabama’s coaches who were at Washington a season ago lost to Michigan in the national championship game.
This will be the third time in the last five seasons that Alabama has played Michigan in a bowl game, going back to the 2019 Citrus Bowl where the Crimson Tide won 35-16.
Though opting out for bowl games has become a trend in college football in recent years, there won’t be any on Alabama’s side. Captains Jalen Milroe and Tyler Booker announced they’ll be playing in the game, and the rest of the team followed suit. The only players Alabama will be missing in this game will be due to transfer portal exits and injuries.
Alabama is searching for its tenth win over the season in this game, which would extend a national-best streak of 16 straight years, dating back to 2008.
