No. 4 Alabama will hit the road on Wednesday night, traveling to Starkville to take on No. 14 Mississippi State.

In his third season at Mississippi State, head coach Chris Jans has the best team he’s had yet in Starkville. He took the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament in his first two seasons, and now has Mississippi State positioned to earn a top-4 seed in this year’s tournament.

The Bulldogs sit at 16-4 overall with a 4-3 mark in SEC play, coming off an overtime win over South Carolina on Saturday. Alabama went 2-0 last week and moved to 17-3 on the season, beating LSU at home on Saturday night.

Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats has had little trouble against Mississippi State in his time in Tuscaloosa. Oats has a 9-1 record against the Bulldogs in his Alabama career, including a 5-0 mark against the program under Jans.

Wednesday night’s game will tip off at 8 p.m. CT and will air on SEC Network.
