No. 4 Alabama picked up a huge win on the road at Kentucky on Saturday, getting the team back in the win column before a week with two games at home, starting with tonight’s game against Vanderbilt.

The Commodores in their first year under head coach Mark Byington have gotten off to their best start in 15 years, starting the season 15-3 overall and 3-2 in the SEC. Vanderbilt ranks in the top-50 nationally per KenPom, and al three of its losses have come to top-75 teams in Drake, Mississippi State and Missouri.

The Commodores proved just how dangerous they are on Saturday afternoon, upsetting No. 6 Tennessee at home for their biggest win of the season.

For Alabama, turnovers will again be a major factor in this game. Vanderbilt’s defense turns teams over at an extremely high rate. The last time Alabama faced a defense like that was a week ago against Ole Miss, when the Rebels turned the Tide over 21 times en route to an upset.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats is 6-2 overall against Vanderbilt, winning three straight in the series since losing in the 2022 SEC Tournament.
