The middle of the season has brought a bit of turmoil for Alabama in Kalen DeBoer‘s first season.

After starting 4-0 with a win over Georgia, Alabama has struggled in back-to-back weeks, losing to Vanderbilt and narrowly escaping South Carolina last week. That brings up a huge battle this weekend in the Third Saturday in October, as No. 11 Tennessee awaits inside Neyland Stadium.

Of course, Tennessee is one of Alabama’s biggest rivals, and even considered the biggest by some fans. The Vols have more wins against the Crimson Tide than any other program in college football, but still trails in the series 60-38-8.

The last time Alabama went to Knoxville it was one of the most memorable games in the rivalry’s history, as Tennessee knocked off the Crimson Tide for the first time in 16 years, stormed the field, and tore down the goal posts. Alabama will be looking for a different result in DeBoer’s first meeting on Rocky Top.
