Alabama football has been under fire this week after suffering its first loss under head coach Kalen DeBoer last weekend.

But it wasn’t just any loss. The formerly No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide fell at the hands of perpetual SEC cellar-dweller Vanderbilt, a loss deemed unacceptable by fans and detractors of the program alike.

Now, Alabama gets a chance to get back on track, hosting South Carolina at home tomorrow morning. The Gamecocks currently sit at 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the SEC, with a strong win over Kentucky a close loss to LSU and a blowout loss to Ole Miss.

This will only be the 17th meeting between these two schools even though South Carolina joined the SEC over three decades ago, since they were in opposite divisions until the abolition of divisions this season. This will be the first time South Carolina has played in Tuscaloosa since 2009.
