In-state DL commits to the Alabama Crimson Tide: "Really, it's to fulfill my dreams."
The Alabama Crimson Tide have won out for yet another in-state target in the Class of 2025.
Already holding commitments from Anthony Rogers and Ryan Williams heading into the weekend, Nick Saban and Company landed defensive lineman target Antonio Coleman out of Saraland (Ala.) High School on Monday evening. Coleman committed to Bama after returning to Tuscaloosa for Saturday’s game versus Texas. He is now the sixth verbal commitment in the Tide’s 2025 class.
“Really, it’s to fulfill my dreams,” Coleman told BamaOnLine. “I’ve been wanting to do this since I was a kid. It would definitely be to fulfill my dreams.”
“Since I was a kid, I’ve always liked Alabama,” Coleman added. “I always said that since I was a kid, it would be my dream to play for Alabama. I feel like I’ve just got to fulfill my dreams at a nice program.”

The Crimson Tide extended an offer to Coleman during his March 4 visit to the school. Since then, he has been in communication with Freddie Roach, and speaks with him about three times a week.
“Coach Freddie Roach is a funny guy,” Coleman said. “The thing I like about Coach Roach is that he knows when it’s time to work and when it’s time to joke around and build a relationship with his players. I like that the most about Coach Roach. I appreciate him for recruiting me to Alabama. That’s really my favorite coach up there.”

Coleman also spoke with head coach Nick Saban this past Saturday.
“He was basically saying the same thing that Coach Roach said,” Coleman said of his conversation with Saban. “It’s home. Basically welcoming me with open arms. That’s what I like the most about that program.”
Alabama beat out the likes of Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, and several other Power 5 programs in Coleman’s recruitment. The four-star recruit is teammates with Ryan Williams at Saraland High School, and the two will continue playing together at the next level.
“It means a lot,” Coleman said. “We played together in park ball league. Now, we’re playing together in high school. It would mean a lot to play on the same team again in college.”
Per the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings, Coleman is the No. 213 overall junior prospect in the country. He’s also the No. 23 defensive lineman, as well as the No. 13 Class of 2025 recruit in the state of Alabama.
