JUCO FLIP: Alabama steals No. 1 EDGE from SEC school after official visit
Alabama received great news on Monday! The Crimson Tide flipped the No. 1 ranked JuCo player in the country from his commitment to Mississippi State. Kevonte Henry, who is recruited as a ‘Bandit’, revealed the decision after taking an official visit to Alabama this past weekend.
Henry kept things quiet regarding his visit plans, and high interest in the Tide. BOL has been aware of the interest behind the scenes, and the likeliness of a flip from the Bulldogs after the visit.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound lineman had an original connection to Alabama football General Manager, Courtney Morgan. Henry committed to Michigan in 2021 when Morgan worked on the Wolverines’ staff. Morgan was hired by Coach DeBoer at Washington, and Henry flipped his commitment to Oklahoma on signing day (’22).
