Kickoff time, TV network announced for Alabama vs. LSU
No. 14 Alabama and No. 16 LSU will square off in Baton Rouge in just under two weeks for a game with enormous postseason implications. The game will kickoff in the primetime slot at 6:30 p.m. CT on Nov. 9 and will air on ABC, the SEC announced on Monday.
The Crimson Tide and Tigers both sit with a 6-2 overall record through eight games. Alabama has a 3-2 record in SEC play, while LSU has a slightly better mark at 3-1. Both teams are on bye this coming weekend, giving each squad two weeks to prepare for the matchup.
The game essentially serves as a College Football Playoff elimination game. With both teams having two losses already, taking a third loss would all but end the loser’s chance of making the playoff. The winner, however, will add a quality victory to its resume as playoff discussions start to heat up in November.

The game will be head coach Kalen DeBoer‘s first trip to Tiger Stadium, which is considered one of the toughest places to play not only in the SEC, but in all of college football. Alabama lost its last game in Baton Rouge in 2022, falling 32-21 in overtime on a walk-off 2-point conversion. Prior to that game, the Crimson Tide had won five straight road meetings in the series.
Alabama leads the all-time series with LSU 56-27-5, and has won 11 of the last 13 meetings dating back to 2012. LSU head coach Brian Kelly has a 1-3 record against Alabama, including his time at Notre Dame.
