Alabama issued its final availability report before its home game against Georgia.

Senior guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Achilles) and Houston Mallette (knees) were both listed as out and will not play against the Bulldogs. Alabama true freshman guard Labaron Philon, listed as questionable on yesterday’s initial report, is now a game-time decision.

That means the “coaches and/or medical personnel need to evaluate the athlete in pre-game warmups before deciding whether he can participate in the game,” according to the SEC.

Philon has dealt with an ankle injury the last two games but has been able to play through it. On Friday, Alabama head coach Nate Oats discussed that when asked about Philon’s growth.

“He’s hurt right now a little bit with his ankle, so it’s hard to measure growth when you’re dealing with an injury,” Oats said. “… I think he’s grown in how to handle pick-and-rolls a little better. I didn’t think he was great last game in it, but we’ve gotta get him more aggressive, even with his injury, just kind of coming downhill. I think he’s had some pretty good practices. He’s coming.”

The No. 4-ranked Crimson Tide (18-3, 7-1 SEC) and Bulldogs (15-6, 3-5) are scheduled to face off inside Coleman Coliseum. The conference matchup will tip off at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.

SEC Availability Report Policies

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics season, all Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.

Prior to an SEC basketball game, an institution must issue the Initial Report the night before a game by 7 p.m. CT (or, for an institution that played a game the day before, by 11:00 am local time the day of the game, or two hours before the game starts, whichever is earlier).

On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time. On the Game Day Update, the only permissible designation statuses are:

• Available – Will dress for the game and be available to play

• Game Time Decision – Coaches and/or medical personnel need to evaluate the athlete in pre-game warmups before deciding whether he can participate in the game

• Out – Not dressing or available for the game
