We are four weeks into the college football season, and Alabama has only played one SEC opponent. Granted, that was a fantastic road contest against a top-10 Florida team, but games against Mercer and Southern Miss cancel it out.

Now that we’re past Week 4, the tough stretches of SEC games are now upon us. For example, the next three weeks leading up to the bye week will include games against Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Mississippi State.

On Sunday, we got the latest edition of the Coaches Poll. It was revealing too, as we learned that the Crimson Tide remain to the top team in the country. More importantly to next Saturday, the Rebels are rated as the No. 12 team in the nation.

In other words, Week 5 will see Alabama welcome Lane Kiffin’s squad to his former stomping grounds at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It’s his first return to Tuscaloosa as a head coach since departing for Florida Atlantic during the 2017 season.
