Mark Sears earns second SEC Player of the Week honor of the season
For the second time this season, Alabama men’s basketball guard Mark Sears has been named the SEC Player of the Week, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday. The honor comes after Sears averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds in the Crimson Tide’s wins over No. 8 Auburn and LSU.

- Recorded his 10th and 11th 20-point games of the season
- Sears is one of two SEC players (Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht) that has earned SEC Player of the Week multiple times this season
- Ranks No. 28th in the country in points per game (20.0 ppg) and tied for first in the SEC
- One of four players in Division I and the only Power 5 player with 395 points, 75 rebounds, 75 assists and 45 three-pointers
- Ranks No. 5 in the SEC in field goal percentage (52.0) and No. 7 in assists (3.9)
