Peoria (Az.) High School product Noah Carter has once again signed with a Kalen DeBoer-led program.

On National Signing Day, the nation’s No. 9 EDGE prospect inked his National Letter of Intent with the Crimson Tide. Carter made things official with the program after committing to Alabama on Jan. 25, just days removed from his official visit to Bama; that official visit marked his first-ever recruiting trip to Tuscaloosa.

Carter previously signed with DeBoer and the Washington Huskies during the Early Signing Period in December. He would go on to decommit and request a release from his NLI after DeBoer was named Alabama’s next head coach.

The top-60 junior was granted a release from his NLI and was free to explore all of his options, but the Tide were the only program under serious consideration.

Down below, BamaOnLine provides all the information that you need to know about the latest addition to Alabama’s program.

Why Carter chose Alabama: “Definitely just my trust that I’ve built throughout this whole process with Coach DeBoer, Coach [Courtney] Morgan[Ryan] Grubb, and Coach [JaMarcus Shephard]… all the coaches he brought,” Carter told BamaOnLine of his decision. “Really just having my trust in Coach DeBoer because he has his trust in me. That’s what led to it.

“That’s definitely another big part of my commitment is just getting developed by best of the best,” Carter later added. “Playing against the best of the best. It’s really just a win.”

Coach’s Take: “Just imagine one of those big edge rushers with receiver-type takeoff,” Centennial HS assistant Chris Gaeta previously told BOL. “The lateral movement. Being very physical. It’s like a jet coming at you from the side. He’s strong and physical, but maneuvers like a skill player.

“He pretty much can just bull rush at this level. He also has a plethora of moves that he’s worked on. He’s pretty polished, and he works at his craft, too. He’s also very coachable. He is open to being coached.

“As an edge, he’s dominant,” Gaeta added. “He’s fast. He’ll set the edge. It actually takes three people to block him. They were putting a tight end in the back. Sometimes, they’d leave the slot receiver in to block him.”
