NYE Recruiting Nuggets: Alabama hoping to enter year with a bang

Alabama has its eyes set on the ‘grandaddy of them all’ with the Rose Bowl against Michigan. The game kicks off on Monday at 4:00 p.m. (CST). There are a few other games Crimson Tide fans must-watch which includes the Under Armour All-America game (January 3) and All-American Bowl (January 6). There are two significant targets revealing their decision.

Zay Mincey, No. 3 cornerback from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Fla., will announce his college choice The contenders have included Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Miami. Mincey visited Alabama twice- an unofficial visit in June, and official visit in October. This one has taken a few turns since early fall. Mincey signed on December 22.

Daniel Hill, four-star running back from Meridian High School in Mississippi, was originally scheduled to announce a decision on August 23. Hill opted to wait until after his senior season. Alabama and South Carolina were originally at the top of the list. He took an official visit to Mississippi State in December, and also visited Tennessee earlier in the fall. Hill signed on December 20.

Mincey and Hill will enroll at the school of their choice in Janaury.
