Recruits react to Alabama's 24-20 victory over Texas A&M
The top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide found themselves in a nail-biter with Texas A&M on Saturday night. Although they were without their star quarterback and had four turnovers, Bama held on to beat the Aggies 24-20 to move to 6-0 on the season.

Of course, a multitude of recruits were in the stands for the Tide’s close win last night. Here are some of the reactions they shared with BamaInsider and on social media following the game.
Tidbit on 5-star EDGE Keon Keeley
Keon Keeley is one of the top uncommitted players in the country. Per On3’s Class of 2023 rankings, Keeley is the No. 3 overall prospect in his recruiting cycle and the top-ranked EDGE.
The product of Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Preparatory School has visited Alabama twice this year for their junior day in January and the Champions Cook-Out in late July. He’s still on his official visit to Bama as that trip will not wrap up until Monday morning.
BamaInsider did, however, gather some tidbits on Keeley’s official visit. Click HERE to read our notes on how his time in Tuscaloosa has gone and intel on what he’s been told by the Crimson Tide staff.

When it comes to unofficial visitors, there is probably not a bigger name that stepped foot on campus yesterday than Suntarine Perkins. Perkins, an Ole Miss commitment, is the No. 4 linebacker on the 2023 On3 Consensus.
After the game, Perkins posted a picture with him and Nick Saban on Twitter, captioning it, “The night was definitely sweet home Alabama.” He also tweeted the following video of him cheering for the Tide.
Also making the trip out to Tuscaloosa this weekend was five-star EDGE Keon Keeley. Keeley, who is currently on an official visit to Alabama, was seen spending time with Will Anderson’s family before the game.
Several Alabama commitments, including Richard Young and Wilkin Formby, tweeted at Keeley after the game.
Be sure to head to the Talk of Champions message board for a reaction from 2023 target Jaren Hamilton. Despite Alabama having three wideouts committed already, Hamilton remains high on their radar and was in attendance for the Texas A&M game.

Alabama impresses prospects in the 2024 and 2025 classes
The Crimson Tide also welcomed on campus some key junior and sophomore targets. One of those recruits — elite wide receiver Ryan Williams — actually committed to Alabama during the game.

As for post-visit reactions, BamaInsider exchanged messages with a few of the visitors from the 2024 and 2025 classes. Kamarion Franklin, the No. 28 overall junior in the country, had the following to say about how Alabama looked last night.
“It was a really good game,” Franklin said. “I enjoyed it and I liked the way Bama’s defense didn’t fold under the pressure, even with the penalties.”

In-state defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman, who hails from Birmingham (Ala.), was also in the stands for Saturday’s game. Beaman had positive reviews for his experience in Tuscaloosa as well.
“It was amazing,” Beaman said. “The energy of the fans there was great. They were really into the game. The d-line play was great. They got plenty of pressure to the QB tonight.”
2025 offensive lineman Mason Short still has quite some time to go in his recruitment, but Alabama has certainly caught his attention early on. Short shared his reaction to Saturday’s visit, his second game day stop at Bama of the season.
“It was a great game down to the wire,” Short said. “It was an electric atmosphere! It’s always good to be able to watch the o-line do their job.”
Short spoke with On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons about his most recent trip to T-Town. Check out what he had to say HERE!
