Alabama and Auburn added another chapter to their historic Iron Bowl rivalry on Saturday.

The game’s conclusion was anything but predictable. On fourth-and-31 and less than a minute to go, Bama’s Jalen Milroe launched a dart to Isaiah Bond in the back of the end zone to put the Crimson Tide up 27-24. It was a must-win for Alabama (now 11-1; 8-0 in conference) to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.

Not surprisingly, recruits from coast to coast shared their reactions to the thrilling end of Saturday’s game. BamaOnLine gathered reactions from several prospects following Alabama’s win, including a few in attendance for this matchup.

One of those was 2024 offensive lineman Favour Edwin, who is set to officially visit Bama next month.

“Two great teams, greatest rivalry in the world,” Edwin said. “Amazing to witness it live. Alabama showed why they are champions.”

2025 cornerback Devin Williams, a frequent visitor at the Capstone this year, also shared his reaction to the Tide’s win.

“That game was crazy… Bama was dead in the water and Milroe throws a rope to Bond!” Williams said. “I thought Bama could have been looking ahead and Auburn got their attention. I watched the secondary and love how they communicate. They know what to do against any alignment! You can tell by the way they communicate on the field and when they identify what the offense is trying to do.”

BOL also heard from a handful of Alabama commits in the 2024 and 2025 classes. Defensive lineman pledge Jeremiah Beaman, who also attended this game, was proud of how Bama battled on the road.

“It was a great, hard-fought win,” Beaman said. “Just the determination of not giving it up against their rival team really meant a lot.”

Linebacker commit Cayden Jones was back home in North Carolina watching this contest. Even so, he was on the edge of his seat until the very end.

“It was probably the most stressful game I’ve watched,” Jones said. “The Iron Bowl is insane and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Myles Johnson (Class of 2025 Bama commit) is now ready to see his future team take on Georgia in the SEC Championship.

“That was crazy, but I never had a doubt in my mind,” Johnson said. “Those guys fight to the end. We need to clean up our miscues and get ready for Georgia now.”
