Recruits react to Alabama's 34-20 win over Tennessee
Alabama waited over a year to get revenge on the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday.
Bama and its fan base had to wait a couple of quarters for the team to get the ball rolling in this anticipated matchup. After being outscored 7-20 in the first half, Nick Saban‘s group responded in dominant fashion the final 30 minutes of play. The Crimson Tide scored 27 points while shutting out Tennessee in the second half to improve to 7-1 (5-0 in conference play) this season.

Plenty of recruits attending this game at Bryant-Denny Stadium shared their reactions to Alabama’s 14-point win over the Volunteers on Saturday.
One of them was in-state quarterback Trent Seaborn, who praised Bama for their response to a less-than-ideal start.
“That was a really exciting game,” Seaborn told BOL. “Tennessee looked in control, but I really was impressed with how Alabama stuck with each other, trusted each other, pulled together and overcame adversity. Tennessee is a top program and they are loaded. So, it says a lot that Alabama was able to adjust and come out with the win. I’m really grateful to have had a chance to see this game in person; it was awesome.”

Top-ranked Class of 2026 EDGE and Anniston (Ala.) product Hezekiah Harris also chimed in with his thoughts.
“Great team win,” Harris said. “Defense definitely stood out and shut Tennessee out the second half. They looked good! Definitely can see myself playing in the system.”
BOL also gathered reactions from several other in-state recruits. That includes elite pass rusher Zion Grady, and you can check out his reaction HERE.
A handful of Alabama Crimson Tide commitments marveled not only at their future team’s win, but the environment at Bryant-Denny Stadium as well.

Casey Poe, the top-ranked interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class, was blown away by the experience.
“It was freaking amazing!” Poe said. “Best atmosphere I’ve ever been around in my life. Dudes know how to win, even when they didn’t start fast.”

In-state defensive back commitment Red Morgan also echoed those same sentiments about Bama’s ability to bounce back from a slow start.
“We came out a little iffy in the first half but after halftime… I don’t know what Coach Saban told the team, but they played lights out, especially the d-line and linebackers,” Morgan said. “Those guys flat-out played like their hair was on fire.”
