SEC Network to air Alabama's Pro Day later this month
The date for Alabama’s Pro Day has already been set for March 30. That news was released last month, but as the popular event draws closer, we now have more details. According to a tweet from Alabama reporter Charlie Potter, Pro Day will start at 2 p.m. CT (3 p.m. ET) and air on the SEC Network.
A couple of weeks ago, we saw 11 former Crimson Tide players take part in the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine, but not all of them participated in the on-field workouts. Some were forced to bow out due to injury while others chose to wait for Alabama’s Pro Day. In other words, March 30 will be an important day for several guys in Tuscaloosa.
Left tackle Evan Neal, who is in the conversation to be the top overall pick, will do on-field drills after opting out in Indianapolis. We’re also likely to see defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis take part in the 40. Other players such as linebacker Christian Harris and running back Brian Robinson Jr. could stand on some of their times and be selective with workout paticipation.

Here’s a list of Alabama players who are likely to participate in some way, shape, form or fashion:
- OT Evan Neal
- RB Brian Robinson Jr.
- WR Slade Bolden
- OT Chris Owens
- DL Phidarian Mathis
- DL LaBryan Ray
- LB Christian Harris
- LB Christopher Allen
- DB Jalyn Armour-Davis
- DB Josh Jobe
- DB Daniel Wright
We should note that nothing has been finalized on that front.
The assumption is that wide receivers Jameson Williams and John Metchie III will be unable to participate due to season-ending ACL injuries suffered late last season. Other players could be limited or choose not to participate, but we don’t have any formation on that at this time.
At this time, Neal and Williams are the only two projected first-round picks for the Crimson Tide. That said, a bulk of the players listed above could hear their name called sometime on Day 2 (second or third round). Pro Day performances and interviews can go a long way in determining draft status, however.
