A total of 23 Crimson Tide student-athletes are slated to receive degrees during The University of Alabama’s summer commencement this weekend.

Two members of Alabama’s 2020 CFP Championship football team, Jonathan Bennett and Que Robinson, and 2023 NCAA 400m hurdles runner-up Cordé Long highlighted the list, alongside 2021 Southeastern Conference uneven bars champion Shania Adams and 2022 regional uneven bars champion Mati Waligora.

Including Bennett and Robinson, the UA football team graduates seven student-athletes that helped the Crimson Tide secure two SEC titles. All-Americans Kayla Beaver (softball) and Clayton Elder (track and field) will earn their degree this summer, while student-athletes who competed on the men’s NCAA Final Four and women’s Second Round basketball teams will walk across the stage.

Jasmijn Bakker (women’s track and field), Beaver (softball), Loyal McQueen (women’s basketball) and Waligora (gymnastics) will all receive master’s degrees this summer.

In addition, Greg Farone, drafted in the seventh round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants, and TJ McCants, selected in the 16th round by the Chicago White Sox, will earn their degrees.

Combined with the 34 graduates who earned degrees following the fall semester and the 80 who earned degrees in the spring, 137 Alabama student-athletes took home diplomas during the 2023-24 academic year.
