Sights, sounds from Alabama's first practice ahead of Rose Bowl
The Alabama football team took the field on Saturday for its first practice since beating Georgia 27-24 in the SEC Championship Game earlier this month. The Crimson Tide held a two-hour session in spider shells on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields as they begin preparations for an upcoming showdown against top-ranked Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Kickoff for that game is set for 4 p.m. CT on Monday, Jan. 1.
Below, we’ve included a photo gallery from Alabama’s latest practice session, courtesy of UA Athletics. There’s also about four minutes worth of practice footage that’s been made available, so be sure to check back that out too.
*** Editor’s note: Saturday’s practice was closed to reporters.
Alabama will practice again on Monday afternoon. Soon after that practice, head coach Nick Saban will address the media. On Tuesday, you’ll get player interviews before Saban returns to the podium on Wednesday to break down National Signing Day for the Crimson Tide. Stay tuned for more coverage from BamaOnLine.
