Sights, sounds from Alabama's Monday practice of Texas week
The Alabama football team took the field on Monday for its first practice of Texas week. The Crimson Tide held a two-hour session in shorts and helmets on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields as they prepare for a home showdown against a Longhorns squad ranked No. 11 in the country. Kickoff for that matchup is set for Saturday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Below, we’ve included a photo gallery from Alabama’s latest practice session, courtesy of UA Athletics. There’s also two minutes worth of practice footage that was made available from Monday’s session. You can find that at the top of the article where the featured photo would usually be.
*** Editor’s note: Monday’s practice was closed to reporters.
Alabama will be back on the practice field on Tuesday for its second practice ahead of the Texas game. After talking with head coach Nick Saban and two players (quarterback Jalen Milroe and cornerback Terrion Arnold), the media will get to talk to three players ahead of that practice. The list includes offensive lineman JC Latham, running back Roydell Williams and defensive lineman Jaheim Oatis.
