Sweet 16: How to watch Alabama vs. San Diego State

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The top overall seed Alabama men’s basketball team (31-5, 16-2 SEC) is now in Louisville for a Sweet 16 matchup in the NCAA Tournament on Friday. After beating No. 16 seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and No. 8 Maryland in the first two rounds, the Crimson Tide now face off against the No. 5 seed San Diego State for a spot in the Elite Eight.
The Aztecs have had a great season, going 29-6 (15-3 Mountain West) so far with wins over No. 12 seed Charleston and No. 13 seed Furman in the first two rounds of the Tournament. Saturday’s matchup against Alabama will present a whole new set of challenges, however, especially with the Crimson Tide’s ability to get the job done on offense and defense.

“All the teams in the Sweet 16 are pretty good,” Alabama coach Nate Oats said on Thursday. “San Diego State is really good. We’ve got two teams, with us and them, that are both top five in the country in defensive efficiency. They’re a great defensive team. They’ve got a lot of players on the offensive side that can create shots. We’re going to have to be great defensively.”
