Three Alabama players were named to the AFCA All-America Team on Friday.

While no Crimson Tide player was tabbed as a first-team All-American, offensive lineman Tyler Booker, wide receiver Ryan Williams and safety Malachi Moore earned second-team nods. It marks the second second-team selection for Booker, who was Alabama’s lone All-American on the Walter Camp Football Foundation team, it was announced Thursday.

The AFCA is one of five national organizations that determine consensus All-American status, along with the Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, Sporting News and Walter Camp. If three of the organizations select a player to their first team, he earns consensus honors. If a player is named by all five, he is a unanimous selection.

Because no player was recognized as a first-team All-American by either the AFCA or Walter Camp, Alabama will not have a unanimous All-American for the second year in a row.
