Two Alabama players named second-team All-Americans by AP
Two Alabama players were named to the Associated Press All-America team on Monday.
While no Crimson Tide player was tabbed as a first-team All-American, offensive lineman Tyler Booker, and safety Malachi Moore earned second-team nods. It marks the third second-team selection for Booker and second second-team honor for Moore this postseason.
The Associated Press is one of five outlets used to determine consensus All-American status, along with the American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association of America, Sporting News and Walter Camp Foundation. Announced in December, the Walter Camp All-America teams are selected by coaches and sports information directors.
Because no player was recognized as a first-team All-American by either the AP, AFCA or Walter Camp, Alabama will not have a consensus All-American for the first time since 2019.
