On3 Sports Analysis
“I think he brings a high floor in that he is very polished,” said On3 Sports Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power. “Accurate, particularly in the short-to-intermediate passing game. I think he can throw the RPO game and really be like your point guard for your offense. With a lot of playmakers on the outside, he can be a good ball distributor and get the football out so those guys can make plays in space. That’s where I see him fitting him in in terms of his skill set at the next level.
“I think he shows good pocket movement. He’s a guy who’s going to play within structure of the offense and go through his progressions from inside the pocket and deliver accurate throws.”

Similar characteristics as Alabama QB Bryce Young
“I’ve worked with a lot of big-time guys, but even at a young age you could tell Julian was really talented,” said Julian Sayin’s quarterback trainer Coach Danny Hernandez. I think there are a lot of comparisons you can make between him and Bryce with his awareness and approach to the game.
“They are both very fluid and do a great job of processing information. They are not going to make two bad throws in a row. It takes a special talent to self-correct the very next rep. They just have a different type of awareness and can make adjustments very easily.”
“I think his ability to change arm slots is something that really stands out with Julian. It’s something that’s appreciated a little bit more in the RPO game. You may not have the best angle when you are on the run and you have to generate power from your arm slot.
“He is similar to Bryce as far as being able to create power in his arm in any moment. He can generate arm power in small spaces and can make throws on the run. Some need four or five steps for their body to be in good position to make those throws, but Julian is able to generate that type of power very quickly.”
Alabama has the No. 2 rated class (2024)
Alabama currently has the second highest rated class in the country according to the On3 Sports Consensus Football Team Recruiting Rankings. He is one of four commitments in 2024 joining Jaylen Mbawke, the No. 1 athlete according to On3 Sports from Clay-Chalkville High School in Alabama, Perry Thompson, No. 10 wide receiver from Foley High School in Alabnama, and Martavious Collins, four-star tight end from Rome High School in Georgia.
