WATCH: 5-star DB commit Dijon Lee's sensational regular season highlights
Five-star defensive back Dijon Lee has had a remarkable final season of high school ball.
Lee, who committed to Alabama on June 28, is one of the leaders of the undefeated Mission Viejo Diablos. Mission Viejo went 10-0 in the regular season, with only one of those wins being by one possession (31-28 over Basha on Sept. 20). The Diablos have an average margin of victory of 31.1 points per game. They are currently No. 9 on MaxPreps and No. 14 on the MasseyRatings.
Mission Viejo will next take on Centennial HS on Nov. 15.
The program does have a roster that features four-star receivers Phillip Bell (Ohio State commit) and Vance Spafford, along with other future P4 players. But Lee is a key reason why they’re undefeated and have been tough to score on this season. On Sunday, he posted his impressive highlights and regular season stat line from this fall.
Lee has 47 total tackles and four interceptions, one of those being returned for a touchdown. You can watch that play in the first clip above. He also has two pass deflections and a kickoff return for a touchdown (1:10 in the video above). On offense, Lee has four receptions for 130 yards, an average of 32.5 yards per catch.
Those stats stand out as Lee’s position coach, Skeats Spalding, told BamaOnLine just a few weeks ago that teams tend to not throw in his direction. With Lee being ranked no lower than the No. 6 cornerback in the 2025 cycle across all four major recruiting media rankings services, that logic makes sense.
Spalding had high praise for Dijon Lee in that conversation, and highlighted where he believes the future Bama defensive back has improved the most.

“He’s more of a leader on the field now,” Spalding told BOL in mid-October. “He’s more comfortable. You can see the maturation of his progress from his sophomore year to his junior year to now. He has more of a handle on things. Basically, he is given more freedom… now, you put him on the field, call a play, and let him do his thing. He knows how to read quarterbacks and he knows how to decipher receiver routes.
“He’s learned a lot these past three years,” Spalding continued. “I think Bama is getting a great player. He already knows a lot about the game.”
Lee checks in as the No. 22 overall prospect and top-ranked senior in the state of California, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the fifth-highest ranked member of Bama’s class. Only Caleb Cunningham (No. 17), Michael Carroll (No. 14), Keelon Russell (No. 12), and Ty Haywood (No. 11) are ahead of him.
With other schools still in pursuit, the West Coast defensive back recently spoke with BOL’s Andrew Bone about his commitment status – HERE.
