On3 Sports provided an update to its Class of 2024 Rankings on Monday morning. Not surprisingly, Alabama’s commits were well-represented in the new rankings. Half of Alabama’s 12 verbal pledges are labeled as top-100 recruits, with quarterback pledge Julian Sayin making a significant jump.

Down below, BamaOnLine provides the updated rankings for each of Bama’s commits and notable targets in the 2024 On300.

BOL Roundtable: Ongoing On300 Rankings Discussion

Julian Sayin takes over the No. 1 QB ranking

QB Julian Sayin: No. 7 (Previous: No. 18) — From an Alabama perspective, the big news of the day belongs to Julian Sayin’s rankings bump.

MUST READ: Alabama commit Julian Sayin is the new No. 1 QB per On3 Sports (Analysis)

The Carlsbad (Calif.) product rose 11 spots and is now the top-ranked quarterback in the 2024 cycle, leaping Georgia’s Dylan Raiola. This comes after Sayin dominated at the Elite 11 Finals and OT7 Nationals event, earning MVP at Elite 11 and top performer honors at OT7. If Sayin’s ranking holds, he’ll be the first Alabama quarterback signee to be No. 1 at his position since Bryce Young in the 2020 cycle.

ATH Jaylen Mbakwe: No. 21 (Previous: 17) — There was little movement for longtime Alabama commit Jaylen Mbakwe in the new 2024 On300. With the drop of Terry Bussey, however, Mbakwe is now the No. 1 athlete in the country. He’s still the No. 2 player in Alabama, behind Texas A&M pledge Cam Coleman.

WR Perry Thompson: No. 48 (Previous: No. 39) — Foley (Ala.) High School’s Perry Thompson did not partake in much 7-on-7 competition this year, and was not often present on the camp circuit. He’ll look to build upon his junior season in which he hauled in 87 passes (school record) for 1,059 total yards, an average of 12.2 yards per catch.

CB Jameer Grimsley: No. 78 (Previous: No. 77) — Recent Alabama commit Jameer Grimsley kept his spot in the high 70s in the latest rankings update. On3 is much higher on Grimsley than the rest of the industry as no other service has him higher than No. 205 overall in this class.

CB Zabien Brown: No. 93 (Previous: No. 124) — Zabien Brown jumped 31 spots, marking the biggest rankings leap by an Alabama pledge in today’s update. The Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback committed to the Tide over Ohio State and USC on Sunday.

Coach’s Take: New Alabama DB commit has “a huge ceiling.”

DL Jeremiah Beaman: No. 98 (Previous: Same) — Birmingham (Ala.) Parker High’s Jeremiah Beaman retained his spot in the top 100 in the new 2024 On300. Beaman and fellow in-state recruit Isaia Faga are the only defensive linemen committed in Bama’s 2024 class. LB Sterling Dixon: No. 165 (Previous: No. 103) — Alabama linebacker pledge Sterling Dixon is still in the 2024 On300 following today’s update. As a junior, Dixon registered 172 total tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 18 sacks.

LB Cayden Jones: No. 184 (Previous: No. 203) — North Carolina-based linebacker Cayden Jones earned a 19-spot bump in the updated 2024 On300. Jones committed to Alabama back on April 21, and impressed the staff with his camp performance last month.

Alabama RB target earns five-star status

Switching over to Alabama targets, the most significant development involved Nate Frazier‘s updated ranking. The prized running back kept his spot as the top-ranked player at his position, but rose from No. 31 to No. 15 in the new update. Frazier is the No. 2 rising senior in the state of California, only behind Sayin.

Frazier is high school teammates with Zabien Brown at Mater Dei High School. The two officially visited Alabama from June 23-25. Bama is one of the top contenders in Frazier’s recruitment.

Other notable five-stars in the new update are Ellis Robinson IV (No. 3 overall), KJ Bolden (No. 9 overall), and Micah Hudson (No. 8 overall).

Robinson is committed to Georgia, but took an official visit to Alabama the final weekend before the dead period. As for Bolden, he is set to commit on Aug. 5, and has a final five of Bama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and Ohio State. Hudson has yet to visit Tuscaloosa, but the Tide are still hoping to get him in town for a visit.

Additional Crimson Tide targets make big moves in the rankings

Frazier was not the only Alabama target to make a big rise in the new On3 rankings.

Along the offensive line, priority target Jordan Seaton rose from No. 58 to No. 23 in the new update. In-state target William Sanders was previously unranked, but is now No. 111 in the country.

Staying on offense, coveted wide receiver Amari Jefferson went from No. 256 to No. 103. Jefferson is a Tennessee baseball commit, but is heavily considering Alabama after visiting Tuscaloosa three times this year.

Moving on over to the other side of the ball, Florida-based safety Zay Mincey made a 15-spot leap from No. 64 to No. 49. Georgia safety commit Peyton Woodyard is No. 186 overall in the country after previously being No. 226.

In the trenches, Texas A&M defensive lineman pledge Dealyn Evans rose from No. 181 to No. 138 in the new 2024 On300. EDGE Solomon Williams, who officially visited Alabama last month, went from unranked to No. 153 overall. Orlando (Fla.) Jones High School target D’antre Robinson went from unranked to No. 272.
