Where Alabama commits stand in the updated 2026 On300
On Monday, On3 Sports unveiled the latest update to their Class of 2026 On300 rankings. These rankings are far from finalized as there will be numerous updates from now until early 2026. Junior year film will be critical, as will in-person evaluations that are going to take place over the next year and a half.
The rankings update comes at a good time as just a few days ago, Alabama did not hold any commitments in the 2026 recruiting cycle. A very successful weekend, however, saw the Tide land verbal pledges from a pair of defensive backs: Jamarrion Gordon (Saturday) and Dorian Barney (Sunday).
In On3’s updated rankings, Barney went from No. 41 to the No. 61 overall prospect in the nation. He is listed as the No. 6 cornerback in his class, as well as the No. 9 rising junior in the state of Georgia.
Switching over to Gordon, the Jackson (Ala.) High School recruit rose 24 spots in Monday’s update. He is now the No. 205 overall prospect, No. 21 cornerback, and No. 9 recruit in Alabama for his class.
With just two commitments so far, Alabama does not yet have a numerical ranking for where they stand in the 2026 class compared to other programs.
Rankings for additional Alabama-based recruits, other noteworthy names
So far, only three in-state prospects have received offers from Kalen DeBoer‘s staff. Those are Gordon, Anthony Jones, and Zyan Gibson. That number could increase following the spring evaluation period and summer camps.
In Monday’s update, Jones retained his spot as the No. 9 overall prospect in his class and the top-ranked recruit in Alabama. Jones has not visited Tuscaloosa since DeBoer’s arrival, but is looking into a trip this summer. You can read his full interview with BOL from last week – HERE.
As for Gibson, he’s regarded by three of the four major recruiting media rankings services as a top-60 prospect in his class. He rose 14 spots in today’s rankings reveal, going from No. 58 to No. 44 overall. He’s now the third-ranked cornerback in the 2026 cycle.
Gibson is a priority for Alabama.
As for some other rankings in Alabama, EDGE Hezekiah Harris is No. 2 (No. 16 overall) in the state, followed by Gibson, then Shadarius Toodle (No. 86 overall), and Jaquez Wilkes (No. 114 overall). You can see the updated 2026 rankings for the state of Alabama – HERE.

Looking outside the state of Alabama, there are some noteworthy names to point out from Monday’s rankings update.
Jahkeem Stewart, who has visited Tuscaloosa roughly a half-dozen times, is the No. 1 overall player in the country. No. 2 is Ohio State wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr., who was offered by Bama in late March.
Henry is followed by offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho. Iheanacho visited Alabama in the spring, and was seen by the coaching staff last week. Jackson Cantwell was re-offered by the Tide in early March, and is expected to return for a visit during the season.
North Carolina-based prospect Faizon Brandon is the only uncommitted quarterback with an offer from DeBoer’s staff in the 2026 cycle. He made his way out to The Capstone in March, and is set to return on June 22 (Post-visit interview with Brandon – HERE). Brandon is the No. 1 quarterback (No. 11 overall) in his class.

Arrington is the No. 7 overall prospect and top-ranked athlete in the latest rankings update.
Zion Elee (No. 8 overall; No. 1 EDGE) told On3’s Steve Wiltfong that he communicates with Alabama frequently, and is looking to set up a visit to Tuscaloosa.
