Alabama basketball went 1-1 this past week, falling to No. 15 Missouri on the road on Wednesday and following it up with a home win over No. 17 Kentucky on Saturday. The results of the week led to the Crimson Tide dropping in the newest AP Poll, going from No. 4 to No. 6.

Though it’s out of the top-4 in the rankings, the sentiment among bracketologists is that Alabama still has a great chance of earning a 1-seed in the rapidly approaching NCAA Tournament, with the final outcome depending on how it performs in its final four games.

The Crimson Tide’s resume has been boosted by playing in the best conference in college basketball this season. The SEC has eight ranked teams this week, including No. 1 Auburn, No. 2 Florida, No. 5 Tennessee, No. 6 Alabama, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 14 Missouri, No. 17 Kentucky and No. 24 Mississippi State.

Both of Alabama’s opponents this week are ranked, taking on Mississippi State at home on Tuesday and Tennessee on the road on Saturday.
