UA has to replace a number of key contributors this offseason, including underclassmen Tyler Booker, Jihaad Campbell and Jalen Milroe, who all declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Other Crimson Tide starters who exhausted their eligibility and hope to hear their names called in late April include James Burnip, CJ Dippre, Kneeland Hibbett, Malachi Moore, Graham Nicholson, Robbie Ouzts, Que Robinson and Tim Smith. A few UA players with starting experience also entered the NCAA transfer portal during or after the 2024 season.

Alabama does welcome back significant pieces from its 2024 team, though, including several veterans who chose to return rather than turn pro. Guys like Germie Bernard, Parker Brailsford, Domani Jackson, Justin Jefferson, Tim Keenan, Jah-Marien Latham, Deontae Lawson, Jam Miller, LT Overton, Jaeden Roberts and Keon Sabb are coming back for another season. The young players on the roster will also have a chance to step into larger roles this fall with the underclassmen and seniors moving on to the next chapters of their careers.

The Tide also signed the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class for the 2025 cycle, which features seven players ranked among the top 100 prospects and three 5-stars, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. UA added commitments from seven transfers, five of which were last at Power 5 schools. Kalen DeBoer will have plenty of talent for his second year in Tuscaloosa, but some of it will be inexperienced, particularly at quarterback. This offseason will be intriguing to follow as the Tide looks to get back to the 12-team College Football Playoff.

UA will kick off the 2025 football season on the road at Florida State on Saturday, Aug. 30.
