Where Alabama ranks in final AP Top 25 Poll for 2024-25 season
The Associated Press released its final top 25 poll for the 2024 football season on Tuesday, one day after Ohio State topped Notre Dame, 34-23, in the national championship game.
The Buckeyes, of course, were No. 1 in the final poll, but where was Alabama? The Crimson Tide checked in at No. 17 in the 2024 season’s final AP Top 25 Poll. Alabama (9-4, 5-3 SEC dropped six spots from its previous ranking of No. 11 ahead of the 12-team playoff.
After picking up its fourth loss of the 2024 season, falling to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, Alabama ends Kalen DeBoer’s first year with its lowest ranking in the final AP Poll since 2007, when it was not ranked to end Year 1 of Nick Saban’s tenure with the Tide.
