SEC Football Media Days will usher in a new season next week in Dallas from July 15-18.

Three student-athletes from each of the 16 conference schools will travel to the Omni Dallas Hotel with their respective head coaches, and representing Alabama on Wednesday, July 17, alongside first-year coach Kalen DeBoer will be junior offensive lineman Tyler Booker, redshirt junior quarterback Jalen Milroe and graduate student safety Malachi Moore.

Booker is entering his second year as a full-time starter along the Alabama offensive line. Last season, the then-sophomore played in and started 13 games at the left guard position, where he earned first-team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press. In 802 snaps in 2023, Booker only allowed two sacks, according to Pro Football Focus. According to his bio at Alabama, the second-year lineman only missed three assignments over a 13-game stretch.

Milroe started 13 of Alabama’s 14 games last season, missing only the South Florida contest as a head coach’s decision. As a redshirt junior, he passed for 2,834 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 65.8 percent of his throws. Milroe also rushed for 531 yards (after sack yards) and a team-high 12 touchdowns on 161 attempts as a dangerous dual-threat. After leading the Crimson Tide to an SEC championship, Milroe finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting before Alabama’s 2023 campaign ended in the Rose Bowl.

Moore is one of the most experienced players on the Tide’s 2024 roster, having played in more than 50 games entering his fifth and final season of college. Last season, Moore played in and started 13 games at Alabama’s Star position and recorded 52 tackles, including five tackles for loss, five pass breakups, one interception and one quarterback hurry. Along with Milroe, Moore was voted a permanent captain of the 2023 by his Alabama teammates.

The SEC Network will again televise the four-day event, beginning Monday morning.
