2023 ATH Andre Craig talks visit to Auburn for Tigers' season opener
Meadowcreek (Lawrenceville, Ga.) athlete Andre Craig visited Auburn on Saturday. He was one of several recruits in attendance for the Tigers’ season-opening win over Mercer.
“It was great,” Craig said. “I liked the atmosphere. It felt like a home environment.”
Craig, who is six-feet tall and 180 pounds, spoke with Auburn associate director of player personnel Logan Meyer.
“He’s a great guy,” Craig said. “He’s the one who invited me to the game. He’s awesome.”
Craig doesn’t have an offer from Auburn, but the Tigers are showing interest. Should Auburn offer, it would be a gamechanger.
“It would mean so much,” he said. “Auburn is a big school of mine that I would like to go to. I’m waiting for my opportunity and would take it if I get it.”

Through three games, Craig has 25 receptions for 301 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also returned a kickoff for a touchdown and has an interception on defense.
He can do a little bit of everything. Craig also played running back last season at Locust Grove.
“A couple of schools are recruiting me as a wide receiver, some at running back and others on defense,” he said.
Although Auburn has yet to offer, other schools already have, including Maryland, Georgia Southern, Army, Navy, Air Force, Western Kentucky, UT Martin, Austin Peay and Buffalo, among others.
He plans to visit Austin Peay this weekend.
