SIGNING DAY THREAD
The Autry File
Position: Defensive line – 3 & 0-techniques
Height/Weight: 6-foot-5.5 / 325 pounds
Key trait: Autry is a versatile interior defensive lineman. He is better as a run plugger at this stage in his career, but flashed good enough athleticism to grow into a 3-technique as he progresses.
On3 Industry Ranking: (93.64) No. 87 overall, No. 10 DL, No. 6 in Alabama
Commitment date: Feb. 2, 2023
Chose Auburn over: Florida, Ohio State, USC
Time of enrollment: January
Notable: Autry was the very first commitment of Auburn’s 2025 class. The local product took official visits to Florida, Ohio State, and USC. He even garnered some flip predictions, but stuck with Auburn all the way through.
Quoteworthy: “My sophomore year we went 5-5, my junior year we went 4-2, and this past year we went 9-3 with a second round exit. You know, I had opportunites to go to Central Phenix City and IMG and all those programs, but to stick it out and fight for your brothers at a place you love really does mean more than going somewhere that is already established. That’s kind of my mindset and what helped me narrow down my decision. Auburn was home.”
Under Armour camp analysis
****Breakdown written by Auburn Live Recruiting Analyst Cole Pinkston
Autry had the look and poise of one of the top targets in attendance. He already stands out in a crowd with his frame, but his agility drills were smooth. Then, Autry won his one-on-one reps with ease. Autry improved his stock in front of the rankings affiliates across the board.

In-game analysis
— Autry was not easily moved and he was double-teamed nearly the entire night. When doubled, he stalemated consistently while sometimes splitting. Autry always held his gap integrity.
— Autry was always too much to handle when not being doubled, especially when rushing the passer. He was able to get off of blocks well as his opponents had too much to handle.
— Autry was not a consistent playmaker, but as far as doing his job, he handled it well. He did slip off a few times and makes a couple of tackles at the line of scrimmage.
