4-star LB Jakaleb Faulk 'locked in' with Auburn commitment, loves fit with DJ Durkin
AUBURN – Jakaleb Faulk, a 4-star Auburn linebacker commit from Highland Home (Ala.), took his official visit to Auburn over the weekend. Other schools such as Alabama, Florida, and Florida State have continued to heavily recruit him, but Faulk remains firmly committed to Auburn, he says.
“Oh yeah, I’m locked in,” he said.
Faulk has taken an official visit to Florida and he will cap off his summer official visits with a return trip to Alabama.
“I have an official visit to Alabama next weekend,” he said. “Pretty much the main thing (with Alabama) is Coach (Christian) Robinson, he used to coach here,” Faulk said. “He’s kept contact with me ever since being at Baylor and now at Bama. So why not go and see him.”

When asked if there was legitimate interest with Alabama, Faulk said, “somewhat.”
Faulk is the No. 110 overall player in the class of 2025, the No. 16 edge, and the No. 8 player in the state of Alabama according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
The visit
Faulk spent time with fellow linebacker DJ Barber, and probably his brother Keldric Faulk as well.
“It was great, I won’t lie,” Faulk said. “It was a lot of fun with some of the players–It was great to meet DJ Barber and he is a great dude.”
The visit this weekend was just a recourse on things he already knew about Auburn, but there was a new angle.
“It was just a refresher,” Faulk said. “I have seen everything pretty much. To get back and see everybody faces and get to know everything a little better. I was trying to figure out more about my major. Had fun with the players, yes, but at the same time I needed to learn what I will do once I get here. So I had to figure out the education part.”

What is next for Faulk?
“Pretty much, I have to try and build up the team and try to get back to what Auburn used to be,” he said.
Faulk knows Eric Winters pretty well and both are from around the same part in Alabama. He was somewhat surprised by Winters’ commitment, but was excited for him.
“Oh yeah, Eric, me and him are cool,” Faulk said. “I didn’t even know until that night. It was pretty cool to find out he did it.”
Faulk loves his fit in DJ Durkin’s defense.
“Oh yeah, the defense is a real good fit,” Faulk said. “I love the way Coach Durkin coaches and he will play freshmen if he has to. It’s pretty cool.”
